The flowers above appeared well before the solstice, which was a few weeks before their normal flowering time. Now that we've hit the longest day of the year, we mainly have to content ourselves with lilies and the ripe pie cherries. I haven't yet picked any of the cherries, but I'm hoping that they have good flavor even growing in our unfertilized suburban garden.
|Our big purchase of the summer was a 1990 Miata. Don is now in full car guy mode, shining up our new toy and making some repairs. I'm just having fun driving around in it, whether I'm the driver or the passenger. And the trunk is big enough for a week of groceries!|
