Views of France

This was the view out our hotel window in Beaune. The Cote de Beaune is the hill in the background. The vineyard was three steps from our room!

This is a view of the most famous building in Beaune, the Hotel Dieu.

April is a fine time to sit in the central square and listen to the carousel there. It plays beautiful, peaceful music, quite unlike an American carousel.

Beaune is a very old town. This is a part of what was once the moat surrounding the walled city.
