Just to be different, Don and I decided to go to Sweden for a long weekend. In December. It wasn't any colder than Chicago, but it was a heck of a lot darker. This picture was taken at noon!
Don stands outside a restaurant with downtown Stockholm in the background.
We were still well-fortified from our breakfast of herring and black coffee,
so we didn't eat there.
And I stand on the waterfront with Gamla Stan (the old town) in the background.
Back in Chi-town, we got the second-largest snowstorm in the city's history. It took about an hour to dig out the Golf, and believe me, we put a chair in the spot every time we left!
